Sangupiddy Bridge is a 288-metre long road bridge across the Jaffna Lagoon, along the A32 route. This is the shortest land-based route linking the Jaffna peninsula to mainland, and is arched to facilitate the passage of fishing vessels. Carrying travellers across the sea, the two-way bridge offers a dashing, picturesque view of the majestic Indian Ocean.
