The Gallway’s National Park is a small national park situated closer to the Nuwara Eliya town. It has a two kilometer long walking trek. The park is known as an important nesting ground for migratory birds and home for about ten endemic birds.

The park requires an entrance ticket and the price is on the higher side for foreign travellers. Also as it is close to the town you’d hear loud music and vehicles. If you are a serious nature lover maybe it is not the place for you, however if you are looking for a getaway from the busy Nuwara Eliya town.

If you are lucky you’d come across animals like rhino-horned lizards, barking deers, buffalos and wild boars, however don't expect it to be the same as the other popular national parks like Yala.
