VIMANRA HOTEL - vimanra.com

First identified by Leonard Woolf, a British Administrator in the early 1900s and re-discovered in the early 60s Madunagala hot water springs is a unique experience to have. Situated in the middle of a paddy field the site consists of four wells which are fed by the main spring, and each well has waters of different temperatures.

The hot water springs get lots of locals on pilgrimage to the southern parts of the country. Though the springs are built for you to have a natural hot water bath, it sometimes makes it less comfortable with the larger number of people visiting the area. However a week day would be ideal to visit.

There are various types of vendors selling street food and souvenirs in the parking area. If you are travelling through Udawalawe to Embilipitiya this is a great spot to take a look at.
